Why is this important?
Being a good sight reader makes music more fun & enjoyable. Being proficient in these aspects of music helps the student become the best musician they can become.
Musical experience is fun while additionally serving as a sense of accomplishment that brings great fulfillment and acquistion of a skill that can be enjoyed throughout a person's life.
All students do not learn music the same way. Experience teaches that some methods work better than others, for particular students. Theory is highly emphasized, as well as a variety of motivational music.
